Agricultural Research Service(ARS) / National Eligibility Test(NET) Examination

ASRB Agricultural Research Service (ARS) / National Eligibility Test (NET) Examination is conducted by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board for various posts.

Age Limit for Agricultural Research Service ARS

Age should be 21-32 years on the month of year of the examination. Service candidates of ICAR those who are less than 45 years and service candidates of State Agricultural universities those who are less than 35 years with prescribed qualifications are also eligible.
Age relaxation is available for candidates those who belong to SC/ST/OBC and Persons with Disabilities.

Eligibility for National Eligibility Test NET

Candidates those who have attained 21 years are eligible for the examination and there will be no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Educational Qualification for Agricultural Research Service(ARS) / National Eligibility Test(NET)

Master's degree or equivalent in concerned subject with specialization from a recognized university

Preliminary Examination Details - ARS/NET

Part A - Objective Type
This section consists of 50 General Knowledge questions based on the seven groups of Agriculture and Allied Sciences.

Part B - Objective Type
This section consists of 150 questions from the professional subject.

Main Examination Details - ARS

Only the candidates who clear the Preliminary Exam are eligible for this Main Examination

ASRB exam will have one paper for 240 marks. Questions will be from the Professional subject and answers should be descriptive.

Viva Voce

Only the candidates who have appeared and passed the ARS Main Examination and fulfilled the other requirements are eligible for viva-voce. Viva-voce will be mandatory and it carries 60 marks.

Candidates will be selected based on the marks obtained by them in the Main exam and Viva voce
