Recruitment details for the post of Management Trainee in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Management Trainee Examination

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited recruits Management Trainees in Telecom Operations and Telecom Finance. Apart from external candidates, BSNL regular executives possessing the prescribed eligibility conditions shall also be eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Age should not exceed 30 years on the 1st of August of the year of examination.
Age relaxation upto 5 years is available for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Physically Challenged candidates. Ex-Service Men and other categories like displaced persons have the age relaxation as per the instructions given by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification for External candidates (Telecom Operations)

Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer/IT/Electrical plus two years regular full time MBA from a recognized university

Educational Qualification for Internal candidates (Telecom Operations)

Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics/Telecommunications/Computer/IT/Electrical from a recognized university plus 4 years work experience within BSNL on the closing date of receipt of application by BSNL

Educational Qualification for External candidates (Telecom Finance)

Candidate should have the qualification of CA/ICWA/CS

Educational Qualification for Internal candidates (Telecom Finance)

Candidate should have the qualification of CA/ICWA/MCom/CS plus 4 years work experience within BSNL on the closing date of receipt of application by BSNL

Written Test

Section I and Section II is common for both Telecom Operations Stream and Telecom Finance Stream.
Section I
This section consists of Management Aptitude questions in General Management, Management Information Systems, Managerial economics, Marketing, Accounting and Finance, Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Telecom Knowledge and Current events of national and international importance. This section carries 150 marks
Section II
This section consists of Cognitive Ability questions in Quantitative ability & data sufficiency, Reasoning ability, Verbal ability i.e reading comprehension and analysis. This section carries 150 marks.
Section III for Telecom Operations Stream
This section consists of Technical knowledge questions in Materials and Components, Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs, Signals and Systems, Network theory, Electromagnetic Theory, Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation, Analog Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronic Circuits, Control Systems, Communication Systems, Microwave Engineering, Computer Engineering and Power Electronics. This section carries 150 marks.
Section III for Telecom Finance Stream
This section consists of Technical knowledge questions in Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Financial Management in Public Sector Enterprises, Advanced Accounting, Principles of Taxation (Tax Laws), Financial Statements, Companies Act 1956 (with amendments), Auditing and Bare Acts. This section carries 150 marks.

Interview

Candidates will be shortlisted as per the marks obtained by them in the Written Test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
